Pictogram Map of Barcelona
We'd like to invite you to help us create a virtual pictogram map of Barcelona, an activity linked to the exhibition systems design. the ulm school. All you need to do is send us photographs with the address or location of where it is and a short commentary (max. 140 character) about its function, originality and design.
You can send images to us by email to pictogrames@dhub-bcn.cat, on Twitter with hashtag #pictogramesbcn or post them on our Facebook wall and they will them be added to our virtual map. Images must be greater than 300 pixels in size.

n. In all senses also called pictogram is an ideogram that conveys its meaning through its pictorial resemblance to a physical object. Pictographs are often used in writing and graphic systems in which the characters are to considerable extent pictorial in appearance.
The Ulm School
Otl Aicher, renowned alumnus of the Ulm School, is considered to be one of the renovators of the contemporary pictogram system, consider for example his designs for the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich. Since then and thanks to their influence, pictograms have become a regular visual element that appear in a variety of areas in our daily lives.
