Profile: Teresa-M. Sala
Degree in Geography and History (Universitat de Barcelona, 1981). In 1993 she received her PhD for her thesis ‘La Casa Busquets 1840-1929’. She teaches and has been a member of the Board of Studies for the Master in Museology and Cultural Heritage Management at the Universitat de Barcelona since 1991, and is also Professor of Art History at the same university. Her main research is centred on the study of the architecture of private life of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, with a specially focus on interior layout, furniture and fittings and the decorative arts in general.
She organized, together with Xavier Roigé, the exhibition Àlbum. Imatges de la família en l’art at the Museu d’Art de Girona (2004-2005) and was guest curator of the exhibition Barcelona 1900 at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam in the (2007-2008). She also curated the exhibition Vestigis del modernisme. Obrim el teló at the Fundació Abelló in Mollet del Vallès in 2010, and was co-curator, with Antonio Garau, of the exhibition Vis-a-vis (Es Baluard, Palma de Mallorca, 2011).
Profile: Josep Maria Martí
Industrial designer and PhD. He was Professor of the Department of Design and Image in the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Universitat de Barcelona, and has taught the initial courses in Projects, Industrial Design Projects, Design Methodology and Theory of Design and Philosophy of Technology at the Universitat de Barcelona between 1981 and 2011 and at the Elisava design school between 1972 and 1992. He has been coordinator of the PhD programme ‘Research in Design’ and a member of the Doctoral Committee of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Universitat de Barcelona. He is the author of the book Introducció a la Metodologia del Disseny (Universitat de Barcelona, 1999), among other publications. His most recent book is Arrels de la creativitat i elogi de l’artesà (2011), also published by the Universitat de Barcelona.
Profile: Neus Moyano
She has a degree in Art History from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and also studied Art History at the Institut für Kunstgeschichte in Munich. She has a Diploma in Museology from the École du Louvre in Paris and has done placements in the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the Stadtmuseum in Munich.
Her undergraduate thesis deals with the international exhibitions and museums. She is the author of several publications on museology and architecture and curated the exhibition systems design. the ulm school.
