Designers with Haiti
Exhibition and charity auction in a show of solidarity with and aid for victims of the Haiti earthquake.
The group Sense Sang, made up of fourth-year graphic design students at BAU, Escola Superior de Disseny, have organised an exhibition and charity auction in a show of solidarity with and aid for victims of the Haiti earthquake. Thanks to the support of numerous graphic design professionals, over 200 exhibits have been donated for the cause.
This gesture of solidarity with the earthquake victims involves a two-pronged initiative – first, the exhibition, encompassing both historical assets and contemporary design, and featuring such projects as the original, handmade logos of the newspapers, La Vanguardia and Avui, and the illustrations of Vasava and Carmen Segovia. Second, the goal of auctioning off the large variety of exhibits. The display will come to a close at 8 o’clock on 4 February with the exhibits being auctioned off to the highest bidders. The proceeds of this initiative will go to the NGO, Casa d’Haití.
